The first story to be featured is inspired by the theme of Kindness.

Project Inspiration

A very welcome addition arrived to a local North West Primary School in the form of a ‘Book Hut’, complete with shiny new books and a exclusive Dr Seuss themed design colour palette.
The inspiration for this idea came to us from the #Inspirekindeness movement started by Dani Saveker. Dani founded the inspire kindness movement, and in addition to Dani’s other passion, Dani is the Global CEO of the GLAS group, an organisation she founded to help give structure to family businesses, corporate teams, entrepreneurs and individuals. Dani believes kindness is one of the greatest skills a successful business leader can develop, and she often combines this with her work. Dani has designed and delivered kindness workshops to primary schools, demonstrating that kindness is for everyone, regardless of gender, age and background. Project Detail
Vol 1: Kindness
Prior to the 17th October, we were busily behind the scenes making phone calls trying to source shiny new books from every corner of the UK!
We successfully sourced over 30 brand new books all with an emphasis on key curriculum topics like Science, history…etc
Our inspiration for the Book Hut colour palette was taken from Dr. Seuss, who was meticulous about the colour selections he used for his books. Dr Seuss created specially numbered colour charts and intricate colour callouts to precisely accomplish his vision for each book. The iconic eye catching playful mix of red, white, yellow and turquoise attracting the eye like a magnet.
It was particularly important for us to create something that spoke to the children and would encourage them to engage, identify and bring a sense of fun and enjoyment to the magic of reading. It was also important we complied with health and safety regulations, using non-toxic water based materials. We carried out due diligence with the school to make sure we had the correct safe approach to the project, as well as creating something that we and the Teachers approved of from a design perspective!

SPEAK loved completing this project and presented the Book Hut to a delighted Primary School.
